First Comment from the Turkish Foreign Minister After His Visit to the UAE.. What Did He Say?

- Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan commented on his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, during which he met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, following his country's participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Fidan stated on his account on the platform "X" (formerly Twitter): "After our participation in the events held as part of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, we visited the United Arab Emirates."

He added: "In Abu Dhabi, we were received by the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. We also held meetings with the Vice President of the UAE, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the National Security Adviser, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan."

He continued: "The visit was extremely fruitful in terms of discussing the relations between our two countries and assessing the challenges facing our region." He concluded his remarks by saying: "Turkey will continue to strengthen regional solidarity and pursue its diplomatic efforts to achieve peace and prosperity in our region."

According to the Emirates News Agency "WAM", Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed on Monday with the Turkish Foreign Minister "paths of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, and continuing to enhance them in a way that serves their common interests." The meeting also addressed "a number of issues and topics of mutual interest, foremost among them regional developments and the efforts made to establish the foundations of security and stability in the Middle East, and to push towards a sustainable peace process for the benefit of all the peoples and countries of the region," according to "WAM."
