Israel Executes a 'Massive' Explosion in Mansouri, Southern Lebanon, Causing Tremors in the Area

Beirut - Afaq News - The Israeli army carried out a "massive" explosion today, Monday, in the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, which led to "strong" tremors in the area and its surroundings.

The Lebanese news agency reported that a "massive" explosion carried out by Israeli forces shook the town of Mansouri.

The agency added that the explosion caused "strong" tremors, while the echoes of the explosions were heard in the city of Tyre and several surrounding villages.

A Lebanese army engineering unit also dismantled an Israeli spy camera equipped with a solar power system at the outskirts of Wadi Zibqin in the Tyre district, according to the same source.

In the Nabatieh district, the agency reported that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the area between the towns of Mifdoun and Zawtar al-Sharqiya, without mentioning any human or material losses.

The Israeli attacks on Lebanon come despite the signing of a "framework agreement" on June 26, under American sponsorship, which stipulates a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the areas from which they withdraw.

Despite the "framework agreement," Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon continue, while Israel still occupies areas in the south, some of which have been under occupation for decades and others that were seized during recent wars and military operations.

Since March 2, Israel has been waging aggression against Lebanon, resulting in at least 4,386 deaths, 12,407 injuries, and more than one million displaced persons, according to Lebanese authorities.
