Nablus - Afaq News - The Palestinian Islamic Bank, in partnership with the Nablus Municipality, organized a volunteer day at the Childhood Happiness Center affiliated with the municipality, as part of enhancing social responsibility and establishing a culture of volunteering and partnership in serving the city and its public facilities.
The activity included painting the walls, fences, and playground equipment, trimming trees, cleaning the center's facilities and grounds, and planting several saplings to help provide a more beautiful and suitable environment for children, families, and center visitors, with the participation of bank employees from branches and offices in Nablus and municipal teams.
Commenting on this initiative, the General Manager of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, stated that it comes in line with the ongoing directives of the bank's Board of Directors and its social responsibility committee to instill a culture of volunteer work among the bank's employees and to enhance our partnerships with various local community institutions, contributing to community service and development.
Al-Saadi explained that volunteer work is a fundamental pillar of the bank's approach to social responsibility, noting that the participation of bank employees in community initiatives contributes to creating a positive and tangible impact in various governorates.
Al-Saadi expressed his gratitude to the Nablus Municipality and its teams for their efforts in organizing this initiative and for their ongoing cooperation with various institutions in the city, which enhances joint work and contributes to improving its reality, despite various circumstances and challenges.
For his part, Nablus City Council member Darar Touqan praised the efforts of the management and staff of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, commending the initiative that reflects the bank's interest in social responsibility and its commitment to actively participate in serving the city of Nablus and its facilities.
Touqan confirmed that the Nablus City Council, headed by Ms. Anan Al-Ateera, welcomes such initiatives and partnerships that contribute to the development and improvement of municipal facilities, especially the spaces and areas designated for children, and enhance the spirit of cooperation among various institutions to serve the city and its people.
The volunteer day also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the bank's employees and the municipality's staff, through joint work in serving one of the vital facilities that welcomes children and families, reflecting the importance of integrating roles among institutions in supporting community initiatives and improving the overall environment in the city.
At the conclusion of the event, the director of the Childhood Happiness Center, Samah Hanoun, praised the efforts of the Palestinian Islamic Bank and Nablus Municipality staff, expressing her appreciation for this initiative and the volunteer work that contributed to beautifying the center and improving its facilities, positively impacting the children, families, and visitors of the center.
