Ramallah - Ofoq News - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, through the General Administration of Educational Guidance, today, Thursday, honored the students of the Arab Parliament for Children who recently represented the voice of Palestinian students in the United Arab Emirates and obtained membership in committees in the Arab Parliament. Including membership in the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
This came in the presence and participation of the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Amjad Barham, Majed Al-Fityani, the Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs, Sadiq Al-Khadour, the Executive Director of the World Education Foundation, Asaad Ramlawi, the Director General of Educational Guidance, Ahmed Sayara, and the Student Parliament Coordinator, Samar Amer.
In his speech, Barham stressed the importance of supporting the rights of students and children and ensuring that their voices are raised in all forums and expressing their essence and rights, especially in light of the challenges they face. He appreciated the interest of partners and relevant parties in following up on students’ issues and defending them, noting that the voice of the Palestinian child deserves to reach the world, stressing the ministry’s keenness to give the student parliament special attention.
In turn, Ramlawi expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Education for caring for the students, embracing their talents, and providing the supportive elements and conditions, stressing the continued support of students’ initiatives through partnership with the Ministry.
In a brief speech, Al-Fityani praised the ministry’s efforts and its interest in parliaments and student initiatives and ensuring that the voice of the children of Palestine is conveyed to the world.
At the conclusion of the event, the students were honored: Mai Jalal from the Tulkarm District, Mustafa Harzallah from the Jenin District, Ali Salahat from the Bethlehem District, and Hour Brejiya from the Hebron District, in addition to honoring the two students Mayar and Hala Badr from the Ramallah District; Due to their participation in the World Summit on Child Protection, which was held in Geneva recently.
