Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned yesterday, Tuesday, that the lack of security for his country means that no infrastructure in the region will be safe from attacks. He added, saying: "In a region where we cannot sell oil, no other party will be able to sell oil either, or if our security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will remain safe."

In parallel, Major General Hossein Mohammadi, the spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, attacked U.S. President Donald Trump, describing him as a "big liar," considering that "America has no choice but to declare failure and leave the region," according to him.

This verbal escalation came at a time when the Iranian-American negotiations, which resumed last week through the Qatari mediator, reached a near deadlock, with each side sticking to its position and refusing to make concessions.

Recently, Tehran presented a 7-day plan to open the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting the U.S. naval blockade on its ports and releasing its frozen assets abroad.

However, Trump rejected the proposal in a post on his platform "Truth Social" last Saturday. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian confirmed that his country is committed to implementing the Islamabad agreements without concessions.

Despite this, the Qatari mediator continued his efforts to achieve a breakthrough.
