The Syrian Foreign Ministry comments on the Jordanian bombing in Daraa: “An unacceptable violation and infiltration.”

On Tuesday, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced what it described as Jordanian bombing operations that targeted several sites in Daraa Governorate, noting that Jordan “violated Syrian airspace without prior coordination,” while announcing work in coordination with Amman to form a joint field and security committee to prevent the recurrence of these incidents. The Ministry said in a statement: “In confirmation of the depth of the historical and established fraternal relations between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which have reached their best state of understanding and common concern for the interests of the two brotherly peoples, the Syrian Arab Republic is following with great concern and interest the recent security and field developments on the common border.”

In the statement, the Ministry expressed its "denunciation and rejection in the strongest terms of the Jordanian bombing operations that the region witnessed yesterday, which affected several sites in Daraa Governorate, and the accompanying violation and unacceptable penetration of Syrian airspace without any prior coordination, which resulted in a number of martyrs and wounded." She added: “In this regard, the Syrian Arab Republic renews its condemnation in the strongest terms and its strong denunciation of the treacherous and criminal targeting of the Margiorgios Church a few days ago, which constituted a blatant assault on religious and human values ​​and a despicable attempt to harm the cohesive Jordanian social fabric.

As we extend our highest expressions of reverence and pride to the souls of the nation’s martyrs, and extend our sincere condolences to their families and wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded, we affirm that this field behavior is completely unacceptable, and cannot be accepted under any pretext, as it represents a clear violation of the principles of good neighborliness and Syrian national sovereignty, and contradicts the frameworks of action and joint coordination. The Ministry said, “The Syrian Arab Republic is fully certain that there are parties “A suspicious woman is striving to disturb the distinguished fraternal relations between the two countries, and is working to sow discord, create tension in the atmosphere, and ignite crises between brothers.”

The Syrian Foreign Ministry continued: “In confirmation of the wisdom of the two leaderships and their absolute keenness to preserve this fraternal relationship, work is currently being done in direct coordination with the brothers in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to form an urgent joint field and security committee, which aims to put an end to these field violations and transgressions and prevent their recurrence, control and secure the protection of the common borders between the two countries, and ensure complete security and field coordination in a way that blocks the way for anyone who tries to tamper with the security of the two countries and shed the blood of their children.” The Jordanian Air Force carried out raids on Monday evening on areas in southern Syria, targeting the sites of "terrorist organizations", in response to the attack that targeted a church in Karak on Friday.

The Syrian Ministry of Health indicated that there were casualties among civilians in Daraa Governorate as a result of this operation.
