The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced in a statement, on Saturday, the execution of a death sentence (retaliation) against a Sudanese man in the Mecca region, after he was proven guilty of killing a Saudi citizen, according to what was reported by the Saudi “SPA” news agency. The Saudi Ministry of Interior said: “Al-Awad Muhammad Al-Awad Mahmoud, a Sudanese national, killed Dakhil Allah bin Hamid bin Awda Al-Sanani, a Saudi national, using a sharp tool, which led to his death,” according to the statement.
The Ministry added: “Thanks to God, the security authorities were able to arrest the aforementioned perpetrator, and his investigation resulted in him being accused of committing the crime and referring him to the competent court. A ruling was issued against him proving what was attributed to him and killing him as retaliation. The ruling became final after he appealed and was then upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided according to Sharia law.” The Saudi Ministry of Interior confirmed that “the death sentence was carried out as retaliation against the perpetrator, Al-Awad Muhammad Al-Awad Mahmoud, a Sudanese national, on Saturday, 4/29/1448 AH, corresponding to 10/10/2026 AD, in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region,” according to SPA.
