Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed today, Thursday, that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are the heart of the Arab and Islamic nations, and that Egypt does not accept compromising the Kingdom’s security and borders.
He said during his speech at the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police college students that the saying that the national security of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Gulf states is linked is a correct statement, stressing that targeting the Kingdom in this way affects Arab and Egyptian national security, and that his country also rejects compromising the security of the Red Sea and international sea lanes, stressing that what matters is the security of the Kingdom, not compromising it, its stability, and reducing escalation.
The Egyptian President pointed out that there were dangers on Egypt's southern and western borders, explaining that his country was seeking and making every effort to avoid a conflict in Sudan.
He added that the stability of Sudan, Libya and the Gaza Strip is a requirement for Arab and Egyptian national security, stressing in the same context that he has stressed in all his meetings and contacts with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since 2014 that the establishment of a Palestinian state will benefit everyone and will lead to achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
Sisi also pointed out that the geopolitical variables in the region are large and profound, and will have repercussions on the region.
