The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia announced, on Wednesday-Thursday night, that King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was subjected to an attack on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of a resident and the injury of eight people.
The injuries ranged from minor to severe, and the injured were immediately transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary health care.
The authority said that the attack also caused material damage to the airport, noting that the competent authorities are working to account for it, and developments will be announced later.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, the Legitimacy Support Coalition announced the interception and destruction of four drones in the eastern region.
