Jerusalem.. The occupation army demolishes a residential building in Al-Tur (Video)

Jerusalem - Afaq News - Israeli occupation vehicles stormed the town of Al-Tur east of occupied Jerusalem since the early hours of today, demolishing a residential building consisting of five floors and containing ten residential apartments, home to about 70 citizens, most of whom are women and children.

The occupation forces stormed the building and forcibly evacuated its residents, preventing them from taking their belongings, and assaulted several citizens during the evacuation process, before beginning the demolition of the building.

The occupation authorities had issued a demolition order for the building in 2022, and the residents managed, through the occupation court, to halt the implementation of the order, while the residents received a final demolition notice yesterday, before the occupation forces carried out the demolition operation this morning.

Over the past years, the residents of the building have paid tens of thousands of dollars in fines and violations, in efforts to obtain a building permit, but the occupation authorities refused to issue them the permit.

The demolition of the building comes amid ongoing restrictions imposed by the occupation authorities on Palestinian construction in occupied Jerusalem, while continuing to approve settlement plans in the city and its surroundings.

According to statistics from the Jerusalem Governorate, the number of demolition and leveling operations in the governorate reached 427 operations from the beginning of the year until the end of September 2026.
