Sharif stressed in a statement today, Friday, that his country will continue to stand by Saudi Arabia in the face of the Houthi threat. He said: "Our commitment to the Kingdom's sovereignty, territorial integrity and security is firm and unwavering."

I strongly condemn the repeated terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport, resulting in deaths and injuries to civilians. I praise the vigilance and professionalism of the Saudi Armed Forces and coalition forces in intercepting a number of ballistic missiles, and their tireless efforts to protect innocent lives and maintain the security of the Kingdom. Pakistan stands steadfastly and in solid solidarity alongside the leadership and people of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In line with the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Joint Defense Agreement, and the recent decisions taken by its political and defense strategic committee, our commitment to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of the Kingdom is firm and unwavering. We also affirm our full support for the legitimate right of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to defend its people and protect its cities and vital infrastructure. The Houthi militia must stop these attacks immediately. Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in confronting these threats.
