One Day After His Appearance in the Ring.. Death of a British Wrestler at the Age of 40

- Benjamin Satterley, the English wrestling star known in the ring as Pac, has passed away at the age of 40, according to the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) organization. AEW stated on Monday: "Satterley, who was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004 and continued to perform for wrestling organizations around the world, captivating audiences with his innovative high-flying moves and incredible abilities in the ring."

It added: "Pac signed with the professional wrestling organization in 2019, won multiple championships, and participated in some of the most memorable matches in the organization's history. We extend our condolences to his family, friends, and fans." He previously competed in WWE under the ring name Neville and was known for his aerial attacks and explosive style, earning titles such as King of the Cruiserweights and The Man That Gravity Forgot. The circumstances and cause of his death have not been disclosed.

The announcement of his death came just one day after Satterley faced Andrade El Idolo in the AEW pay-per-view event "All Out," which took place near Chicago. During his illustrious career, Benjamin Satterley made history as the first champion of the AEW All-Atlantic title in 2022, before the title name was changed to AEW International Championship.

He also received widespread acclaim as the champion of the AEW World Trios title; he achieved this title alongside his teammates Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta in front of tens of thousands of fans at Wembley Stadium in his home country in 2024. Since joining AEW in 2019, Satterley has competed in 147 matches, achieving 94 wins, 47 losses, and 4 draws, according to the AEW website.

Benjamin Satterley's death comes just a few weeks after the passing of another wrestler in AEW, Andy Williams, professionally known as The Butcher, who collapsed during an independent match in Pennsylvania, according to the organization, and was 48 years old. Tributes and condolences for Satterley have poured in from fans and colleagues in the wrestling world.
