Ramallah - Ofoq News - Bank of Palestine provided its strategic sponsorship for the Third International Conference on Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence 2026, which was hosted by the Arab American University within the activities of Palestine Artificial Intelligence Week 2026, under the title “From Vision to Implementation: Promoting the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Education in Palestine.” This is within the framework of the bank’s support for innovation and digital transformation and strengthening the partnership between the banking sector and academic and technological institutions.
The conference, which was held on the campus of the Arab American University in Ramallah, witnessed a high-level attendance that included representatives of academic institutions, the private sector, financial and technological institutions, entrepreneurs, experts, specialists, students and media representatives.
The conference aimed to enhance the transition of artificial intelligence from discussion and experimentation to application and impact, accelerate its adoption in the education sector, and link education with future skills, scientific research with application, and innovation with investment. He also focused on the importance of building partnerships that bring together universities, the private sector, financial institutions, technology companies, and entrepreneurs, which contributes to preparing young people for the requirements of the digital economy, and transforming Palestinian energies and competencies into productive and economic capacity that opens new paths for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Bank of Palestine’s sponsorship of the conference stems from its strategy for digital transformation and the transition towards smart banking, as the bank works to develop the use of data, modern technologies, and artificial intelligence to improve customer experience, raise operational efficiency, enhance the quality of decision-making, and automate operations, in addition to employing technology to empower employees and facilitate access to knowledge. The bank's approach in this field is based on a vision of balance between technology, the human element, and the responsible use of data, based on the fact that artificial intelligence is a tool to enhance human capabilities and create greater value for customers, the organization, and the economy.
During the conference, the Bank of Palestine reviewed its vision for artificial intelligence and its strategic directions in digital transformation, in a speech delivered by Mrs. Reem Qaraqe, Director of the Bank’s People Business Department, stressing that artificial intelligence is no longer just a technical development, but has become a force that reshapes economies and methods of work, production, and education, and the challenge today is our ability to transform its potential into real solutions and opportunities. She pointed out that the Bank of Palestine believes that investment in technology must go in parallel with investment in people, and that its impact should extend to empowering youth, linking education to the labor market, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. Hence our commitment to continue investing in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, and to contribute to building partnerships that transform knowledge into application, and innovation into real opportunities and value for the economy and society.
In the context of enabling innovation and entrepreneurship, the Bank of Palestine, through the “Intersect” business incubator, continues to support entrepreneurs and those with innovative ideas, especially in the field of financial technology, and help them move from the idea to applicable solutions and products and growth, and link innovation to the needs of the market and the economy. This comes within a trend that seeks to empower Palestinian youth to be developers of technology, innovators of its solutions, and creators of its value, and not just users of it.
Through its partnership in the conference, the Bank of Palestine confirms that the true value of digital transformation and artificial intelligence is not measured by the size of the technologies used, but rather by their ability to address challenges, improve services, raise productivity, transform data into knowledge, knowledge into decisions, and innovation into real opportunities for people and the economy.
