Tel Aviv - Ofek News - The head of the Otzma Yehudit party, Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, renewed his demand to take over the Ministry of Defense in the upcoming government, announcing his intention to make a radical change in security policy.

In an interview with Reshet Bet newspaper today, he said: "After taking over the Ministry of Defense, I will ensure the burning of the body of Yahya Sinwar and the bodies of the perpetrators of the October 7 attacks. As Minister of Defense, I will make a fundamental change in the prevailing concepts."

Ben Gvir's request comes after he presented his demands for forming the next government last week, alongside Knesset member Tali Gottlieb. Ben Gvir demanded the Ministry of Defense, while Gottlieb requested the Ministry of Justice.

Ben Gvir also outlined the main points of the "security plan" he seeks to implement if he accepts the position. He mentioned encouraging voluntary immigration from Gaza and the West Bank, disarming the Palestinian Authority, and arresting senior officials who are alleged to support terrorism.
