The 27-year-old was able to end his goal drought, as he had failed to find the net with the "Pharaohs" national team and Tottenham Hotspur for the last 139 days. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) shared a video clip on its X platform of Omar Marmoush with children in South Sudan during the match, commenting: "Here is Africa, here is passion, and here is love."
The clip shows children approaching Marmoush to take commemorative photos with him, feeling extremely happy.
