Tel Aviv - Afaq News - A new film reveals how Israel succeeded in infiltrating the communication network of Hezbollah members and convincing them to adopt a technology that seemed safe to them.

Former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant revealed these details in his own voice during an interview with Channel 12 about a year and a half ago, but they were subject to military censorship at that time. They are now allowed to be published with military censorship approval.

The film "Paging Hezbollah," directed by Justin Pollack, which is set to premiere in the United States on October 30, reveals new details that had not been permitted for publication until now regarding the behind-the-scenes of the pager device explosion that occurred in September 2024.

As the film's release approaches and time passes since the operation, details that were previously prohibited from being disclosed are now allowed to be published.

It is clear that due to fears of the operation being exposed, Israel assassinated a person within Hezbollah who was suspected of the pager devices and was working on examining them.

This individual was assassinated, but it was not revealed that he was the actual target of the attack; instead, another person who was present alongside him was presented as the target. Additionally, Israel bombed a shipment containing inspection devices that arrived in Lebanon from Iran, and in this case as well, the true target of the operation was concealed.

Former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant revealed these details in his own voice during an interview with Amit Segal, but these parts remained subject to censorship at that time, while their publication was allowed this evening.

Gallant said in the interview: "In the first week of August, it became clear to us that someone had begun to suspect the beeper devices. I don't want to go into too much detail, but look at the list of those who were assassinated, because we assassinated him alongside another person, under different pretexts. After that, it became clear to us that inspection devices were on their way to check these beeper devices, so we destroyed them along with other things."

The film includes interviews, among others, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Mossad chief David Barnea, and Northern Command leader Ori Gordin.

The filmmakers stated that it will clarify how Israel managed to penetrate Hezbollah's communication network through device engineering and infiltrating the organization's supply chain.
