Reuters reported that a knowledgeable official said that Qatari mediators are expected to hold separate talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in New York and with the U.S. side today, Monday, or tomorrow, Tuesday.

He added, "Our conditions are clear, and any step towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz is contingent upon meeting these conditions," indicating that a negotiated solution is the only way out of this impasse.

The official Iranian news agency "IRNA" had confirmed earlier on Monday that no new talks are scheduled between Iran and the United States.

"IRNA" quoted a source close to the Iranian delegation in New York in the context of the United Nations General Assembly, stating that this delegation "does not intend to negotiate with the United States."

"IRNA" reported that "Iran's views and positions were conveyed clearly and explicitly to the American side last Tuesday through a Qatari mediator," noting that the Iranian delegation will return to Tehran on Tuesday.
