The Yemeni Council of Ministers confirmed, on Sunday, that Yemen is experiencing a decisive stage entitled to restore sovereignty over the entire national territory and overthrow the Houthi coup, which is funded and managed by Iran.
In a meeting held in the temporary capital, Aden, the Council praised the victories achieved by the Southern Giants Brigades, the Homeland Shield Forces, and the Popular Resistance, with the support of the Alliance to Support Legitimacy, foremost of which is moving steadily towards controlling the Bab al-Mandab Strait after liberating Dhubab and strategic sites in its vicinity, and cutting the road between Dhubab and Mokha.
He considered that this strategic shift in the most important waterways in the world would take away from the militia the card to blackmail international navigation, pointing out that the Houthi militia’s targeting of Aden International Airport, in conjunction with its attacks on airports and civilian facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is nothing but a cowardly terrorist act by a militia that is collapsing on the ground and trying to cover up its defeat with the blood of civilians.
The Yemeni Prime Minister, Shaye’ al-Zindani, said at the meeting that the militia, disoriented by the “Yemen Dawn” strikes and its loss of Bab al-Mandab, took the battle to civilians and civilian facilities, in a single aggressive approach that targets Yemen and the Kingdom and threatens the security of the region and the safety of air and sea navigation.
He stressed that Houthi terrorism will not change the course of the battle, will not stop its progress, and will not turn back the clock, stressing that the government is not running a temporary defensive phase and is not waiting for events, but rather is leading state institutions in a national battle to regain its authority.
The Yemeni Council of Ministers approved a draft law on classifying the Houthi group as a terrorist organization and criminalizing its activities and financing, and directed the completion of the necessary constitutional and legal procedures to ratify the law.
He also announced his full support for Operation “Yemen Dawn” and harnessing all the state’s capabilities to support it, stressing that any temporary complications on some fronts are of the nature of battles and will not affect the stability of the national goal, and that the operation is proceeding until its full objectives are completed, reaching the capital, Sana’a.
He appreciated the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the leadership, government and people, and the role of the Legitimacy Support Coalition in supporting the “Yemen Dawn” operations, stressing that the two countries represent a single security system and destiny in the face of a cross-border threat represented by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, and that their security is indivisible.
He reiterated that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the security of Yemen are interconnected destinies, stressing his support for what was announced by the Chairman of the Presidential Command Council to move forward with Operation “Yemen Dawn” until ending the terrorist threat and restoring state institutions, no matter how great the sacrifices are, calling on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities with clear condemnation, and to hold accountable those responsible for this crime and those who supply them with weapons, as complacency with this militia is paid by civilians in Yemen and the region.
The Yemeni Council of Ministers appreciated the royal directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to correct the conditions of Yemenis who are in the Kingdom in irregular ways and to grant them the necessary facilities.
