Shin Bet Chief Officially Approves Protection for Gadi Eisenkot

Tel Aviv - Afaq News - The head of the Shin Bet security service, David Zini, has approved the official unit for protecting personalities to provide security for the head of the Yesh Atid party, Gadi Eisenkot, according to Kan Israeli channel.

In the coming days, the precise framework for these measures will be determined, and the personal security unit will begin securing the former chief of staff. Zini's decision comes after weeks of the ministerial committee for public security delegating him to make the decision regarding Eisenkot's security issue.

As for the head of the Democratic Party, Yair Golan, the head of Shin Bet has not yet made a decision. His security issue is being discussed within the agency due to the threats he faces.

The Democratic Party had informed the head of Shin Bet that if an order to secure Golan is not issued by today, the party will resort to the Supreme Court.

This is because the police's Threatened Persons Division has determined the threat level for Eisenkot and Golan to be at level four out of six.
