Qatar Prime Minister: Netanyahu is a War Criminal and There is No Justification for the Israeli Response to Gaza

Doha - Afaq News - The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, stated that the October 7 attack was a "massacre" and condemned it, but he said he sees no justification for the Israeli response during the war on the Gaza Strip.

When asked if he considers Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "war criminal," Al Thani answered in the affirmative, stating that what has been committed in Gaza amounts to war crimes, and those responsible must be held accountable.

The Qatari official's statements come amid ongoing disputes between Doha and the Israeli government regarding the war in Gaza and Qatar's role in mediating between Israel and Hamas.

Al Thani had previously criticized what he described as obstruction of efforts to implement a ceasefire plan in Gaza, while Doha rejects Israeli accusations that it has provided support to Hamas's military wing.
