Trump advisor: Election results were “too big to be rigged”

President Donald Trump's advisors acknowledge, in private conversations, that the results of Tuesday's elections favored the Democrats to such an extent that they rule out the Trump administration seeking to challenge the results on a large scale, if that happens at all. “It was very difficult to rig it,” one of Trump’s advisors told Ufoq News, referring to one of the president’s favorite phrases regarding his victory in the 2024 presidential election, which is that the victory was “too big to be rigged.”

Before the elections, Trump and his allies had begun preparing for the possibility of challenging the results. Trump has repeatedly questioned the integrity of the American elections, and in recent months he has continued to make unsubstantiated allegations that the electoral system is rife with fraud.

The US Department of Justice had filed a pre-emptive lawsuit in the state of Alaska, with the aim of allowing the possibility of obstructing the certification of the state’s results, if the current Republican Senator Dan Sullivan fails to win, due to the presence of another candidate with the same name on the ballot. Trump also tried to pressure the state of California to exclude thousands of votes, which the Justice Department claimed may have been cast by people who do not have US citizenship, but the Supreme Court rejected this effort, Monday.

A historic democratic wave swept the political scene on Wednesday, pushing the party to the forefront of the political scene in Congress and legislative assemblies across the country, in a move that reflected voters’ rejection of Trump’s policies and their dismissal of the candidates they supported in pivotal electoral races.
