Settlers detain citizens and prevent them from reaching their homes in Derastia

Salfit - Ofoq News - At dawn today, Wednesday, settlers detained a number of citizens and prevented them from reaching their homes in the Al-Dhahur area north of the town of Derastiya, northwest of Salfit, where the settlers established a pastoral settlement outpost about three months ago close to citizens’ homes and on lands classified as (B).

Activist Nazmi Salman reported that settlers, some of them masked and carrying sticks, intercepted citizens in the Al-Dhahur area, detained a number of them, and prevented them from continuing on their way and reaching their homes, which raised a state of anxiety among the people.

This attack comes in light of the escalation of settler attacks in various areas of Salfit Governorate, which include pursuing citizens, harassing them, and obstructing their movement, as part of the ongoing violations against citizens and their property.
