Abu Rahma also added that reopening the axis requires procedures from the Israeli army and legal steps, while the Palestinian side is considering moving to object to any decision in this direction, due to its potential implications on the movement of citizens in Ramallah and its surroundings.

He also clarified that reopening the road could lead to the establishment of gates and military checkpoints and tightening restrictions on the movement of Palestinians, in addition to its repercussions on the homes and areas adjacent to it, noting that the potential Palestinian movement may include popular, legal, and diplomatic paths, along with monitoring any measures issued by the Israeli government or the civil administration and objecting to them through legal channels.

These movements came alongside closure measures announced by the Israeli army in the West Bank and crossings, starting from last Sunday until next Saturday, on the occasion of Jewish holidays, based on what it described as directives from the political level and security assessments.

According to the announced procedures, Palestinian workers are prohibited from entering settlements during the closure period, except for some industrial areas covered by exceptions, while crossing through the crossings is limited to exceptional humanitarian and medical cases, provided that special permits are obtained.
