The Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, was subjected to a new attack early Wednesday morning, just hours after President Volodymyr Zelensky warned of a major new Russian offensive.
Russia launched a wide-ranging missile and drone attack on the capital, according to the Kyiv Independent newspaper.
The sound of numerous explosions was heard throughout the city during the early hours of the morning, according to the newspaper.

Regional officials reported via "Telegram" that separate airstrikes on the city of Dnipro, located in the southeast of the country, caused damage to an industrial facility, to transportation infrastructure in Zaporizhia, and to several residential buildings in Kremenchuk.
