"A war of surprises"... An Iranian official reveals to Ofoq News Tehran's retaliatory goals if America or Israel attacks it

Iran has added artificial intelligence infrastructure in the region to its list of potential targets for retaliatory strikes, if it is attacked by the United States or Israel, according to what a senior Iranian security official told the Ofoq News network, Friday. The official, who spoke to Ofoq News on condition of anonymity, said that targeting AI infrastructure would be “an act with consequences that go beyond the energy crisis and the Strait of Hormuz, and will have wide-ranging global repercussions.”

The official added that if the conflict is renewed, it will turn into a long-term “war of surprises,” in which Iran will not follow predictable behavior. Two American officials had told Ofoq News, a few days ago, that American forces in the Middle East are preparing to launch new military operations, which may be large-scale, against Iran, within 96 hours of receiving an order from US President Donald Trump to launch them.

The two officials said that the forces currently deployed in the region are sufficient to carry out these potential attacks. They added that the scope of new US military operations may go beyond directing limited and frequent strikes, or maintaining the status quo by targeting radars, missile launchers and other Iranian assets that can be quickly rebuilt, an approach that has been followed since Trump halted comprehensive combat operations earlier this year.
