- After musician Carl Aloko lost his tongue to cancer in 2024, he turned to an artificial intelligence music service to reproduce his voice. Aluko said he developed a cancer known as radiation-induced cancer, adding that "of all the things that could have happened to me, I never imagined this would happen to me."
He explained: I still haven't been able to fully accept it. "There are days when I feel bad about it, but it's my new reality."
After spending a lifetime in the music world, Aluko is now using an artificial intelligence platform called Sono to recreate his old sound. Sono, and AI-generated music in general, has faced its fair share of criticism and copyright-related legal challenges, particularly from musicians and music production companies.
