Al-Quds Open and Ofoq News Media Network are discussing expanding the partnership and launching community initiatives

Ramallah - Ofoq News - The Director of Al-Quds Open University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shaer, received, at the university’s administration headquarters in the city of Ramallah, a delegation from the Ofoq News Media Network, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and expand the partnership between the two sides, in a way that contributes to serving the community and launching joint initiatives that respond to its needs.

The Ofoq News Media Network delegation included General Director Raed Othman, Ofoq News Channel Director Mohamed Faraj, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Karim Asakra, and Program Director Mai Issa.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the prospects for cooperation between the university and the network, and mechanisms for developing the media and academic partnership, allowing for the unification of efforts and capabilities to implement initiatives and programs that serve various segments of society, in light of the difficult economic and social conditions in which it lives, especially with the spread of unemployment and the decline in job opportunities.

Al-Shaer reviewed to the Ofoq News Network delegation the university’s plans aimed at developing the academic process and improving educational outcomes, in addition to its trends towards employing artificial intelligence techniques in education, and keeping pace with technological developments in a way that enhances the educational environment and supports the process of academic development.

The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing integration between academic and media institutions, employing their available expertise and capabilities to serve society, developing joint initiatives that contribute to responding to current challenges, and enhancing communication with the public.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance media cooperation between Al-Quds Open University and the Ma’an Network, by publishing the university’s news, activities, events and initiatives, and highlighting its academic and societal achievements, allowing the public to learn about its programs and projects and its role in serving the Palestinian community.

The two sides agreed to work on preparing a joint cooperation plan that defines the areas of partnership and mechanisms for its implementation, in a way that enhances future cooperation between the university and the network, and opens the way for launching joint media and community initiatives.
