Al-Quds University Concludes Reception of New Students for the Academic Year 2026/2027

Jerusalem - Afaq News - Al-Quds University concluded its orientation program for new students for the academic year 2026/2027, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs over three days under the slogan "In Jerusalem.. Your Impact is Made," with the participation of students from various university faculties, aimed at introducing them to their university and its academic and student environment, as well as the services and opportunities available to them during their university journey.

The university began the program on the first day by welcoming students from the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, while the second day was dedicated to students from the faculties of Health Professions, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Al-Quds College, and concluded with the reception of students from the faculties of Law, Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Arts, Educational Sciences, Quran and Islamic Studies, Da'wah and Fundamentals of Religion, Engineering, Science and Technology, Business and Economics, and Dual Studies.

The university president, Prof. Imad Abu Kishk, during his participation in the reception activities, emphasized the university's commitment to providing a distinguished academic and scientific environment that allows students to develop their knowledge and skills and achieve their ambitions, urging them to invest their university years in scientific research, student activities, and building their personalities, so they can compete locally and internationally. He also pointed out that the university continues to keep pace with scientific and technological developments and to employ artificial intelligence in education and scientific research.

The reception days witnessed the participation of deans of faculties and members of the academic and administrative staff, who introduced students to their faculties' programs, the nature of study and training, and the academic and professional opportunities available, emphasizing the importance of investing the university stage in developing knowledge and skills and building character.

On the final day, the dean of the faculties of Quran and Islamic Studies and Da'wah and Fundamentals of Religion, Dr. Owais Sabri, emphasized the importance of knowledge and work in building the individual and society, urging students to invest their university years in building their personalities and serving their community.

Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Issa Manasra pointed to the development of academic programs and the introduction of programs related to law and digital business, while Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Dr. Thameen Al-Hejawi explained that the faculty is launching new programs and departments, the most notable of which are veterinary medicine, food technology and quality, and sustainable development.

Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences Dr. Enas Nasser emphasized the importance of building a well-rounded student personality, while Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Dr. Mohammed Abu Al-Haj urged students to benefit from university experiences and develop their skills. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Yara Al-Saifi encouraged students to make their own impact and turn challenges into opportunities.

For his part, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics Prof. Ibrahim Awad explained that the faculty is working on developing its programs and striving for international accreditation, which expands students' horizons. Meanwhile, Dean of Dual Studies Dr. Sand Salhout emphasized the importance of the practical aspect in preparing students for creativity and competition in the job market.

The program included introducing students to the services of the Saeed Khoury Center for Information Technology, as well as the programs and activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs, including student activities, sports, volunteer work, and student empowerment.

The conclusion of the program comes as a culmination of three days of meetings and events aimed at preparing students to start their university life, introducing them to their faculties, programs, and university services, and encouraging them to engage in academic and student life, in line with the reception slogan 'In Jerusalem... Your Impact is Made.'
