Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi resolved the controversy over amending the constitution, stressing that there is no intention to amend its articles, and that no one will approach it, in conjunction with confirming Egypt’s readiness to provide everything necessary to support the Gulf states and reduce the escalation in the region.

Al-Sisi also stressed, during his speech at the 44th Armed Forces Educational Symposium, which was organized on Wednesday on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the victories of the October War, that the state has an agreed-upon constitution, stressing the necessity of confronting rumors and attempts to falsify awareness and stir up unrest within the country.

The Egyptian President indicated that attempts to influence the awareness of Egyptians and falsify facts are still continuing, pointing out that there are attempts to cast doubt on the October victories through media tools and modern technologies, most notably social media.

Regarding the regional issue, Sisi stressed that Egypt aims to reduce the escalation and reach a solution to the current crisis, stressing that the national security of the Gulf states and the Arab states is an extension of Egyptian national security.

He added that Cairo supports its brothers, and is ready to provide everything necessary to secure navigation and restore stability to the region.

The Egyptian President also touched on what he described as attempts to raise fears about Sinai, stressing that Egypt fought a war in defense of its land and regained all of its territory, and has no hidden agendas or ambitions towards any party.

Al-Sisi wondered whether some circles in Israel had unjustified perceptions or concerns regarding the presence of Egyptian ambitions towards them, stressing that Egypt’s first and last goal is to maintain its security and stability and preserve the capabilities of its people.

He stressed that the peace treaty signed between Egypt and Israel represents a governing framework for relations between the two sides, reiterating Cairo's adherence to the two-state solution as the way to achieve just and lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.

Al-Sisi also stressed the main challenge that Egypt faced in 2013, which was restoring the state and preserving its national identity, noting that the country had fought a war against terrorism over the past 14 years, the cost of which exceeded 120 billion pounds, in addition to human sacrifices.

In a related context, the Egyptian President explained that the process of state building and economic reform began in 1976 and continues until today to confront development challenges and resource depletion, stressing that economic challenges can be overcome with work and patience, stressing that the priority remains preserving the state and its continuity and preserving the capabilities of the Egyptian people.
