- The South African national team, under the leadership of coach Pitso Mosimane, won against the Egyptian national team with a score of one goal to none, in a friendly match held at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday. On the sidelines of the match, Mosimane shook hands with Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the "Pharaohs" team.
After that, Pitso Mosimane headed towards the bench of the Egyptian team, shook hands with all the players, embraced player Ahmed Sayed "Zizo", and spoke with them. Mosimane had previously worked in Egypt, specifically with Al Ahly Club between 2020 and 2022.
The 62-year-old coach led the "Red Devils" in 102 matches across various competitions, winning 61, losing 11, and drawing 30 times. Pitso Mosimane won 6 titles with Al Ahly Club, including the African Champions League (twice), the African Super Cup (twice), the Egyptian League, the Egypt Cup, in addition to achieving a bronze medal in the Club World Cup (twice).
