The Egyptian Embassy and Consulate General in Riyadh, in coordination with the family of the Egyptian flight attendant who died following the attack on King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, are continuing to complete the necessary procedures to transport her body to Egypt.
Cairo News Channel reported early Sunday that the Egyptian diplomatic mission is also following up on the health condition of the Egyptians injured as a result of the attack that occurred on Saturday afternoon, in parallel with coordination with the victim’s family to complete the procedures for the return of her body to the homeland.
The channel explained that the late flight attendant was 28 years old and was working for a Saudi airline, noting that she was among the victims of the attack that resulted in the death of 12 people and the injury of 309 others, according to the latest toll announced by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation.
The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority announced that the “brutal attack” that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, on Saturday afternoon, caused the death of 12 people, including citizens and residents, and the injury of 309 others, according to the authority’s statement.
Civil Aviation stated that the death toll included 4 citizens and residents, including two of Bangladeshi nationality, one of American nationality, one of Egyptian nationality, one of Jordanian nationality, a Syrian person, another Palestinian, and a Sudanese person.
