A 19-year-old man in Poland was arrested for stabbing several people with a sharp weapon at a vocational institute, resulting in injuries, authorities announced on Wednesday.

The attack occurred at a school in Ostrołęka, about 120 kilometers north of the capital Warsaw, according to the police, who released a blurry image of the suspect after his arrest.

The public prosecutor in Ostrołęka, Elżbieta Łukaszewicz, stated that the victims were students and teachers.

She added to TVN 24 news channel, "It seems that the young man entered the school and attacked students and teachers with a dangerous tool."

According to the information available to me, eight people were injured.

Firefighting teams informed the Polish news agency "Pap" that the injured include three adults and five teenagers.

The police had reported seven injured.
