Raeisi: Washington has lost militarily and will fail in the economic war

Tehran - Afaq News - The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, General Mohsen Rezaei, stated that the United States has "lost the military war" against Iran, considering that Washington will also fail in what he described as the "economic war" it is waging against his country.

Rezaei added, in statements reported by Iranian media, that Iran is capable of facing economic pressures and sanctions, noting that his country is working to enhance domestic production and reduce the impact of the imposed restrictions.

The Iranian official said: "Washington has lost the military war, and it will also fail in the economic war," adding that the United States, in his estimation, faces difficult choices in continuing to pressure Tehran.

Rezaei's statements come amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States, especially in light of the sanctions and economic pressures imposed on Tehran.

Rezaei had previously warned neighboring countries of Iran against participating in what he described as the "American economic war," stating that Tehran will treat any country that participates in imposing economic restrictions on it as a "hostile state."

He also threatened to target the interests of countries that participate in economic pressures against Iran, indicating that Tehran may take actions against the economic interests of countries that cooperate with Washington.
