Tel Aviv - Afaq News - Hezbollah received 200 million dollars from Iran last month, under the pretext that the funds would help Lebanese who have been displaced from their homes due to the war with Israel, according to Reuters citing two sources closely familiar with the money transfer process.
The sources stated that the organization received the funds in cash last month, despite the significant economic pressures imposed on Iran by the United States.
They added that the intermediaries who transferred the money charged a commission of 20%, a rate that reflects the risks associated with working with Hezbollah.
For its part, a source in Hezbollah stated that the organization received a sum of money, and a plan for its distribution will be announced in the coming days, without clarifying the source of the funds.
Reuters noted that the two sources who spoke about the money transfer process are closely familiar with its details.
