The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed via the Telegram application that the Russian army targeted a logistics facility in the Ukrainian Odessa region, in addition to a cargo ship that was on its way to the region.
The ministry explained that its forces targeted, last night, the “Blum” logistics center in Odessa Province, which is used to store military equipment and dual-use goods, in addition to striking a cargo ship in the Black Sea that was transporting military equipment to the port of Odessa.
The ministry’s statement said on Friday: “Last night, Russian forces continued to launch drone strikes against Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities, as well as ships working for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In Odessa Province, the “Blum” logistical center in the town of Tyblodar, used to store military equipment and dual-use goods aimed at supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was struck. A cargo ship in the Black Sea that was transporting military cargo to the port of Odessa was also targeted.
Since mid-July, the Russian army has intensified its targeting of Ukrainian ships and storage facilities in ports used by the Ukrainian armed forces. Rodion Miroshnik, ambassador at large at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the Kiev regime uses the sea route as a channel to deliver weapons around the clock.
Miroshnik pointed out that about 8,000 ships loaded with military cargo crossed the ports of Odessa during the past three years, considering that this explains the targeting of these sites.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly confirmed that its strikes target infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with the aim of reducing its military and economic capabilities, using attack drones and long-range precision weapons.
