I begin with my due condolences to the Saudi leadership and to the Saudi people for the martyrs, both Saudis and residents, as a result of the recent Houthi attacks on airports. There are words that must be said, as these reckless and reckless attacks prove that the Houthi group is nothing more than a criminal terrorist militia that does not give weight to international law or humanitarian law. It does not respect the applicable etiquette, traditions, and customs of war, such that no woman or child is targeted, and that civilian objects, hospitals, and civilian airports are not attacked.
Aggression has a cost that the sinful aggressor makes a mistake in calculating when he reads (patience) as a guarantee of escape, and that “humanity” is a loophole for rebellion and crossing red lines.
This was made clear by the strike carried out by the “Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia,” against the Houthi militia on the ground, in response to the targeting of Riyadh Airport and energy facilities in the Kingdom.
The red lines that the militia crossed with its attacks on the Kingdom’s airports and energy facilities mark the point at which deterrence becomes a necessity to protect sovereignty, and the consequences of the crime become a price borne by the criminal.
There is no doubt that a militia with these characteristics should not be classified as anything other than terrorist. In terrorism, it is on par with Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and the Shiite militia factions. I am not inclined to describe them as committing “war crimes,” because they are fragments of bandits hiding in caves and in the depths of mountains. Its only concern is killing and causing the greatest amount of physical, material and economic damage, believing that it is “blackmailing” Saudi Arabia. It has become crystal clear that an evil country like Iran - which employs its Houthi agent whenever its pain increases due to the US blockade and strikes - has instructed him to launch strikes against Saudi Arabia, claiming that by doing so it hurts the United States and harms its interests. That is a big lie!
Saudi Arabia is an independent country with leadership and sovereignty, and it has a thousand rights to form alliances with whatever countries it wants, with the degrees of partnership it wants. Its alliance with the United States is not a secret to the world, and it is a proven and historical alliance. America is not alone in its close relationship with Saudi Arabia. There is the European Union, France, Britain, Pakistan, Turkey, China and Russia. The common interests that unite these alliances are the economy, and energy is the lifeline in all parts of the globe. They are alliances whose goal is not aggression against any country. Indeed, since its founding, Saudi Arabia has not sought hegemony over countries, nor control over peoples.
On the other side; The Houthi masters want to be a thorn in the side of Saudi Arabia. It is blackmail that Saudi Arabia will not accept, no matter the cost. It is logical and rational for Riyadh to reject evil coming to it from a neighboring country, whose people are linked by ties of kinship, history, geography, or, more precisely, geopolitics. When it found itself forced to help the Yemeni legitimacy, this was - through an international coalition against the Houthi coup, and UN Resolution No. 2216 came - to confirm support for the legitimacy and demand that the Houthis withdraw, give up weapons, and stop actions that threaten neighboring countries.
But the “Companions of the Cave” imitate each other! They do not come out of their caves and the depths of their mountains except to attack cities, airports, and mosques. Rather, they only pay attention to the sacred house of God in Mecca, and the mosque of His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Taybah al-Taybeh, let alone airports and mosques. With “carbon”, they transfer the recipe for evil from “Hormuz” to “Al-Mandab”! This confirms that Houthiism is a unique school of cowardice, hatred and stupidity. When Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for exporting oil, gas and trade; It instructed its Houthi agent to occupy Bab al-Mandab and close it!
Saudi Arabia does not bow to anyone. The Houthi factions united the Yemeni people against him, so they stood as one man to launch Operation “Yemen Dawn,” which achieved great results, including field progress, the liberation of territory, and the removal of Houthi elements from Bab al-Mandab and the islands overlooking it. Al-Houthi was not the first agent to terrorize civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia. Al-Qaeda and ISIS have gone through this path... and with diligent patience and elaborate security strategies, they have become “a mark after an eye.” Saudi Arabia remained tall, built its Vision 2030, and became another attractive destination for Western, Arab, and national capital, and achieved unprecedented social openness and economic reform in its history under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister. Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Tomorrow, the demise will be the fate of Al-Houthi and his agents. Tomorrow, they will be relegated to the “dustbin” as a black spot in the happy history of Yemen. Saudi Arabia will remain the permanent support for Yemen, its neighbor and brother, and between them is history, geography... and kinship!
