Dubai, United Arab Emirates - American actress Jenna Ortega attended the premiere of the second season of the series “Wednesday” in London, with two striking looks: the first by the Saudi fashion house Ashi Studio, and the second by Givenchy. Both looks were characterized by a bold modern character that combines the "Gothic" style with bold modern details.
Ortega chose a dress designed by Saudi designer Muhammad Ashi, founder of Ashi Studio, from the fall 2025 haute couture collection. The dress was distinguished by its transparent fabric, snakeskin print, high collar, and beige color that blended perfectly with her skin tone.
As for the skirt, it was narrow, with two layers and a mermaid cut at the edges, while the back featured lace details close to the design of the front corset, which is often used to tighten the dress and define the figure. According to the house’s official page on Instagram, this look took more than 200 hours of work to implement, and it began with an idea inspired by the concept of “the second skin,” as it was inspired by the skins of exotic animals and the remains of snakes, with their pale shades of color, and their scales and raw edges.
A special “snake skin” was then developed using rare artisanal casting techniques. The piece was then designed and installed in collaboration with a latex specialist, with the edges left unfinished to resemble shed skin. Ortega completed the look with 15-centimetre Max Platform high-heeled sandals in metallic gold.
Aesthetically, she chose a low, tightly tied ponytail, and coordinated her makeup with dark burgundy lipstick and bleached eyebrows, in bold and unconventional aesthetic choices. A bold leather look. In a second look published by Givenchy on its official Instagram account, Ortega appeared in a completely different style, mixing leather and raw materials.
She wore black lined leather gloves, a leather bra, and a straight-cut wool crepe pencil skirt with untrimmed edges. The look came from the fall and winter 2025 collection, which was signed by designer Sarah Burton.
She completed the look with a pair of Chain Link bracelets, and smokey eye makeup, which are titles close to the Gothic Look in fashion, which were in harmony with the atmosphere of the “Wednesday” series and Ortega’s character.
