- Shaima Seif announced in a blog post she published on her personal Facebook page, on Thursday, that she had accepted her colleague Aiten Amer’s public apology to her, shortly after publishing it on her official Instagram account, but she pointed out that not all topics “useful advice,” and she spoke about the limits of fellowship. The story began after a video clip of Shaima's appearance on the "Under Pressure" program on MBC1 was widely circulated on Wednesday, in which the Egyptian actress revealed that she was embarrassed in front of her husband by her colleague Aiten, when he advised her to resort to a gastric sleeve operation, indicating that this operation could be a solution to the problem of childlessness for Shaima.
On Wednesday, Ayten posted a video message on her official Instagram account, in which she apologized to Shaima, and said that the story dates back nearly 5 years, and that the conversation was “in good faith.” She expressed her reproach to her colleague, because she had never expressed her displeasure over this situation to her, even though they had met more than once and were in almost constant contact, and she told her that she would visit her soon with a bouquet of flowers.
Aiten Amer commented on the video, saying: “It is difficult for anyone who feels that his words caused someone’s anger or pain...and sometimes the best thing he can offer is a sincere apology from the heart.” Shaima shared Aiten’s apology on her personal Facebook page, and addressed her saying: “Your apology is accepted and I appreciate it, and I certainly know that your advice was in good faith, but believe me, not all topics are useful in advice, especially in front of my husband, who at the time we did not know where the problem was.
This is what I mean: Houses are secrets that contain their pains, and only their people know about them.” Shaima added: “Always let us know, as long as we are not very close and we are just friends and colleagues among us, we have ten nice people. We prefer to leave these boundaries and not delve too deeply and ask or advise things that I am sure her people know about,” and she welcomed her to her home upon her visit.
