The more the clock moves, the more the politicians in the corners of the extremist government in Israel carry with them a new idea that they are implementing at the expense of the Palestinians, in a furious race that has become clear that it is the only field that achieves the required popularity for them, as they believe, and revives their hopes of continuing to remain in the Knesset and government seats, if they win the elections again.
A matter like this has begun to arouse the feelings and positions of those competing with them, because while they are out of power, they do not have the ability or the decision that Netanyahu and his government have to move the Israeli army, police, and security services to implement what is on their minds, or suggested by their field “readers.”
However, the scenarios for action have become narrower for them as a result of their repetition and entry into the spaces of daily routine, which, according to opinion polls, no longer brings the same votes or the same interaction on social media pages. The raids, arrests, bombing, abuse, searches, freeing hands of settlers, burning property, and bombing the Gaza Strip, have all become, according to their estimates based on artificial intelligence, less popular than they were.
The world is busy with the Nobel Prize for Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Economics, Literature and Peace, while the occupation government is busy searching for ways to combine its ideas in a way that contradicts the efforts of most people to end wars and spread peace.
Therefore, we saw last week, and we see this week, an escalation of the pace of excitement in Israeli military operations, such as preparing to strike the Houthis and Iran again, opening shelters without justification, storming the heart and outskirts of Ramallah by settlers, removing the shrines of martyrs, taking pictures and films of settlers in the heart of Ramallah, and removing what remains of the neighborhoods of Gaza City.
Therefore, shifting the focus to the inner cities, such as the storming of the city of Hebron, followed by raids on charitable organizations in the heart of Ramallah the next day, with the writing of these words, became the master of the situation. It seems that the focus of the coming days has become the focus on cities, after the focus was on the traveler, the speculators, the villages, and the camps.
Accordingly, we see desperate attempts to heat up the situation, and transform the proposals of artificial intelligence and other ideas of those with dark skin in Israel, into expansion by exposing the attack front with a focus on giving it factors of excitement and difference.
But no matter how much the difference is linked to multiple ideas, its source is the same, its perpetrators are known, its tools are exposed, its scenarios are expected, and its goal is clear to Netanyahu’s rivals and those seeking to overthrow him, before it is clear to the Palestinian people.
The irony is that the world is preoccupied with the Nobel Prize for Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Economics, Literature, and Peace, while the occupation government is busy searching for ways to reconcile its ideas in a way that contradicts the efforts of most people in zeroing out wars, spreading peace, prosperity, and well-being, and maximizing the meanings of humanity and prosperity. Where will the “traditions” of the Israeli elections reach until the zero hour when the voting process begins? Inevitably, this will further complicate the scene, and will undermine the credibility of the world, which responds to injustice with silence, helplessness, and inaction.
The “violations” of the night will not serve the spaces that the world wants, but rather will increase the shallowness and injustice of the scene and will contribute to refuting the values of justice and freedom and raise a clear conviction that the world is divided, even at the height of its technical development, into masters and slaves.
Ben Gvir says in his last statement while writing these words: The members of the Knesset from the Joint List and the Arab parties, who want to establish a Palestinian state, while sitting in the Israeli Knesset, are a fifth column. They have no place in the Knesset. My position is clear (and Ben Ghafir is speaking again): dismantling the Palestinian Authority, strengthening settlements, imposing sovereignty, and pushing immigration from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. This is the policy that I will work to implement as the next Secretary of Defense. No more Oslo Accords, no more withdrawals, no more concessions. The Palestinian state “onshore”.
Will we return to seeing Ben Gvir and others in the decision-making space? We wait and see.
