The spokesman for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, announced the interception of a drone launched towards the eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this Friday morning.

This comes as members of the UN Security Council condemned, on Thursday, the Houthi militia attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, including those that targeted civil aviation and energy infrastructure, and resulted in the killing of civilians and the injury of others.

The Council expressed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia in the face of attacks targeting civilians and civilian objects on its territory, affirming Saudi Arabia’s inherent right to self-defense, in accordance with international law.
