The occupation acknowledges that there are no forces at the site of the attack on European diplomats near Ramallah

Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - The Israeli occupation army spokesman said, in response to the attack on European diplomats near Ramallah, that the consulate tour was not coordinated with the army, stressing the importance of prior coordination to prevent incidents of this kind.

The spokesman added, according to a preliminary investigation, that there were no forces at the site at the time of the attack, explaining that the report regarding the incident was sent to the account of the brigade’s operations room, which is designated for receiving reports from members of the security services, and not from citizens.

He pointed out that the operations room receives dozens of operational reports daily, and provides responses to authorized authorities only, pointing out that there are other call centers designated to receive citizen complaints. He stressed that the incident will be subject to investigation and examination.

For its part, the Israeli occupation police announced the opening of an investigation into the incident of settlers attacking diplomatic vehicles belonging to European missions, following the appearance of video footage documented by the occupation army radio of the incident.

The police said that it referred its report to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the aim of collecting evidence and identifying those involved in the attack, in preparation for bringing them to justice.

Israeli Army Radio reported that, on Saturday evening, settlers attacked diplomatic vehicles belonging to European missions in the village of Al-Taybeh, located east of Ramallah in the West Bank.
