The occupation continues to close the Rafah crossing for the second week in a row

Gaza - Ofoq News - The occupation continues to close the Rafah land crossing for the second week in a row to the movement of evacuating the sick and wounded for treatment abroad.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that these practices are an extension of a series of serious violations of international humanitarian law, and deliberately deprive the wounded and sick of their inherent right to treatment.

The Ministry of Health warned in a statement of the repercussions of this closure, which has led to a dangerous and rapid accumulation of critical cases, as waiting lists swell day after day, exceeding many times the capacity of dilapidated and besieged hospitals to accommodate or provide the minimum amount of treatment.

The Ministry called on all concerned parties to put serious and urgent pressure on the occupation to open the Rafah crossing and all crossings, and to facilitate the exit of critical medical cases to save what can be saved.
