A senior US official said that President Donald Trump did not order any restrictions on Ukraine's access to SpaceX's Starshield satellite technology.
When asked whether the US President had ordered restrictions on Ukraine’s use of StarShield satellite technology, the official said yesterday, Thursday, that the President had not made such a request, according to Bloomberg News Agency on Friday.
This week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Trump and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk of imposing restrictions on his country's access to that technology, saying that this led to civilian deaths.
Ukraine relies heavily on US support, including air defense intelligence and Starlink satellite internet service. Zelensky has complained about gaps in intelligence sharing and internet restrictions, which he said have caused Ukrainian drone operations to fail.
