Egyptian artist Mimi Gamal suffered a sudden health crisis during the past few hours, which required her to be immediately transferred to a private hospital in Giza Governorate, and to undergo urgent surgery.
The artist's daughter revealed details of her mother's health condition, in exclusive statements to Al Arabiya.net and Al Hadath.net, explaining that her mother was carrying out her daily life normally inside her home in the Mohandessin area in Giza, south of Cairo, before she suddenly fell and suffered severe foot pain, making her unable to move or stand.
She added that after she was transferred to the hospital and underwent the necessary medical examinations and x-rays, it was found that she had suffered a fracture in the pelvic joint, and the treating medical team stressed the need for rapid surgical intervention and preparing her for operations without delay.
The artist's daughter explained that her mother underwent surgery this afternoon, Thursday, to install a new joint, and she is scheduled to stay in the hospital for two days under medical observation until her condition stabilizes, before she moves home to complete the period of treatment and care that will be determined by the doctors.
