After handing over the body of the martyr Haraz Allah...the occupation continues to detain the bodies of 99 martyred prisoners

Ramallah - Ofoq News - Today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation authorities handed over the body of the martyr prisoner Marwan Fathi Harzallah, from Al-Ain camp in Nablus, after detaining his body since his martyrdom in the occupation prisons in March 2026.

After the delivery of Herzallah's body, the number of bodies of martyred prisoners still held by the occupation authorities becomes 99, including 88 martyred prisoners who were martyred since the beginning of the crime of genocide.

Harzallah was arrested in January 2026, under the pretext of “incitement,” according to what the occupation authorities claimed, before announcing his martyrdom on March 28, 2026 inside “Megiddo” prison.

Prisoners' institutions confirmed that Herzallah's martyrdom was a direct result of the policy of depriving him of the necessary treatment and health care, and held the occupation authorities and their prison administration fully responsible for his martyrdom, in light of the systematic violations to which the prisoners are exposed.

The bodies of the martyred prisoners come within a broader toll that includes hundreds of bodies of Palestinian martyrs that are still being held by the occupation authorities, in addition to the continued failure to reveal the fate of dozens of detainees from the Gaza Strip.

Prisoners' institutions confirmed that detaining the bodies of martyrs deprives their families of their right to know the fate of their children, say goodbye to them, and bury them with dignity, and represents an extension of the violations that the occupation authorities continue to practice against Palestinians even after death.

The institutions renewed their call on the international community to assume its responsibilities, work to end the policy of detaining bodies, reveal the fate of all missing persons and detainees, hand over the bodies of the martyrs to their families and enable them to bury their children in dignity and without conditions or restrictions.
