Al-Iryani: "Dawn of Yemen" A New Phase to End Houthi Control

Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani confirmed that the operations carried out by the armed forces and military formations, supported by the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy, represent a new phase in the battle to restore the state and end the Houthi control.

He also added in a post on the "X" platform today, Monday, that the objectives of the "Yemen Dawn" operation combine the restoration of state institutions and paving the way for reconstruction and development.

Additionally, Al-Eryani linked what he described as military achievements on the western coast, Bab al-Mandab, and the Yemeni islands, to the announcement by the armed forces spokesperson of the start of a strategic attack towards Sanaa using modern capabilities. He considered that these developments confirm the progress of the operation, which he said was launched by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, towards its goals of ending the coup and establishing state authority.

Al-Eryani praised the role of the "Giants Brigades" and "National Shield", affirming that the recovery of lands, islands, and strategic sites in the Bab al-Mandab Strait carries significance that goes beyond direct military aspects, due to its connection to protecting Yemeni sovereignty and securing trade and international navigation.

After announcing control over Bab al-Mandab, scenes of Yemeni government forces arresting Houthi elements.

The Houthis were accused of turning the waterway into a tool for extortion and threats, linking Yemen's interests to the agenda of the Iranian regime and the directives of the Revolutionary Guard. He stated that restoring state authority over these sites contributes to protecting one of the most important maritime corridors in the world.

In addition, he praised the support provided by the coalition, describing it as a pillar for supporting the Yemeni people and their government in restoring the state and establishing security and stability.

The minister emphasized that restoring the state is not the end of the path, but rather the beginning of a phase that requires transforming stability into opportunities for construction and improving citizens' lives. He explained that restoring security and sovereignty could open the door to attracting support and investments, revitalizing the economy, creating job opportunities, and improving services.

He also linked this phase to the aspiration for broader economic partnership and integration with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which would help Yemen overcome the effects of war, rebuild its institutions, and restore its position in its Arab surroundings.

In parallel with his talk about military operations, Al-Iryani called on the sheikhs, dignitaries, and social and tribal figures in areas under Houthi control to protect their children from engaging in combat, and to prevent the use of villages, homes, schools, and civilian facilities as military sites. He urged those involved with the group to respond to what he described as Al-Alimi's call for a "safe return," to lay down their arms and distance themselves from Houthi positions and their crowds, considering that the continuation of fighting among them does not serve the future of Yemen and its people.

He also called on Yemenis inside and outside the country, of various affiliations and regions, to rally around the Presidential Leadership Council, the armed forces, security, and popular resistance, and to unify ranks during this phase. Al-Iryani emphasized that the battle, as he put it, does not target a governorate, tribe, or sect, but aims to restore the state, sovereignty, and national decision. He concluded his statement by saying that the "Dawn of Yemen" should be the beginning of restoring life and hope, and opening the way for security, construction, and development.

These statements came after the official spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, announced earlier today the control over the Bab al-Mandab area and Dhubab Airport, as part of the "Dawn of Yemen" operation, confirming the cutting of the road between Dhubab and Al-Mokha and tightening fire control over it.

Meanwhile, Yemeni military sources reported that Yemeni forces continue their advance towards the city of Al-Mokha and along the western coast to the north under air cover.

They also indicated the beginning of a strategic attack on the capital, Sana'a, with advanced weapons.
