Barghouti: The occupation turned the West Bank into dismembered prisons

Ramallah - Ofoq News - Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement, said that the occupation army has cut off the West Bank with more than 1,300 military checkpoints, most of which are closed, and has turned the cities and towns of the West Bank into prisons, disconnected and separated from each other, which terribly paralyzes economic and educational life and health services.

He added that this is accompanied by the occupation army's invasions of all West Bank governorates, large numbers of arrests, continuous repression, demolition of homes, and the prevention of most West Bank farmers from picking their olives, as the occupation forces stand in the face of farmers and prevent them from reaching their lands.

At the same time, settler terrorist gangs, which the occupation uses as a spearhead for settlement expansion, continue their attacks on various towns, villages and cities of the West Bank, after turning the entire West Bank into a war zone for non-stop terrorism, which includes preventing people from reaching their lands and seizing them, burning and uprooting olive trees, burning homes and property, and non-stop attacks in villages, cities and inside towns. Barghouti added that the goal of this terrorist settlement war, which is being waged, is clearly to expel the Palestinians from most of their lands and achieve the Zionist expansionist dream of annexation, Judaization, and deportation.

Barghouti stressed that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their steadfastness on their homeland and the heroism of the popular committees that confront the settlers are the only factor preventing the implementation of the Israeli plan.

He pointed out that the occupation is trying to take advantage of the world's preoccupation with events in the Gulf region and other regions and what is happening in the occupied territories to escalate these attacks, calling on the entire international community to stop turning a blind eye to Israeli crimes, and stressing the necessity of supporting Palestinian steadfastness by imposing a campaign of sanctions and boycott on the entire occupation and settlement system, including the government involved in implementing this dangerous plan.

Barghouti called on the sons and daughters of the Palestinian people everywhere in the world to join hands to support the heroic steadfastness of the Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, which is the main factor that protects the future of Palestine and the future and survival of the Palestinian people.
