- The promotional tour for the film "The Odyssey" continues to make a striking presence in the fashion world, as the stars of the film appeared during Haute Couture Week in Paris in a photoshoot held in front of the Eiffel Tower, where each of them chose a look that carried a unique character reflecting the film's atmosphere inspired by legends and adventures. Attention was particularly drawn to American singer and actress Zendaya, who wore a white dress from the Italian fashion house "Givenchy"'s Spring/Summer 1997 collection, designed at the time by Alexander McQueen, along with a golden headpiece that obscured her facial features by Irish hat designer Philip Treacy.
The design was characterized by a precise cut and sculptural structure, along with large detachable sleeves, while Zendaya's look was completed with white shoes by French designer Christian Louboutin. The collection from which Zendaya chose her dress was titled "The Quest for the Golden Fleece," inspired by Greek mythology and the story of "Jason and the Argonauts."
This was the first haute couture collection presented by Alexander McQueen during his tenure as creative director at "Givenchy," following John Galliano. During the same photoshoot, South African actress Charlize Theron chose a look from Colombian designer Haider Ackermann for the American brand "Tom Ford," while American actress Anne Hathaway appeared in a navy blue dress from the Italian brand "Prada," and Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong'o opted for a burgundy dress from the Italian brand "Armani Privé."
