India announced that 12 crew members of a Panama-flagged tanker were injured in an attack it suffered while crossing the Strait of Hormuz today, Tuesday.

The Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi stated in a statement, "We condemn the attack that occurred earlier today on the commercial vessel MT On Peace, which flies the Panama flag... as it was struck by a projectile while crossing the Strait of Hormuz."

New Delhi confirmed that the injured are currently receiving necessary medical treatment and care in the Sultanate of Oman after being evacuated to nearby Omani ports.

These developments reflect the escalating risks threatening maritime navigation and the safety of vital waterways in the region.
