New Delhi - Afaaq News - Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that negotiations between India and the United States regarding a trade agreement have reached a deadlock.
Sitharaman explained that making concessions or demands beyond this point would be "extremely difficult" for both countries.
She added: "It is possible, if there is room for maneuver, that India and the United States could act accordingly."
U.S. President Donald Trump announced last February a new trade agreement with India, stating at the time that the United States would reduce reciprocal tariffs on imports from India from 25% to 18%, while New Delhi would reduce its tariffs to zero.
